Sara Jane Warren Robinson, 72, died Sunday, Nov. 11 in St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born April 12, 1929 in Bamberg, South Carolina. As a young child her family moved to Clyo, Georgia. As a young adult, she migrated to Savannah where she resided for 53 years. Mrs. Robinson worked at Meddins Meat Packing Plant for many years. Mrs. Robinson had a tremendous love for children and animals and had cared for the children of several area families. She had been a cancer survivor for 40 years. Mrs. Robinson was an active member of the First Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Savannah. She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Robinson, daughter, Janice W. Lillie, parents, Henry Edward Warren and Hattie Ola Stone Warren Mercer; sister, Belle Paganinni, brother, John B. Warren.
Survivors: brothers, Edward Warren, Meldrim and Vanlee Mercer, Clyo; sister, Vera Ostrander, San Diego, CA; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six nephews and 12 nieces.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sipple Mortuary. Funeral Service: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Chapel, Sipple Mortuary conducted by Pastor Thomas W. Lighthall. Interment will be private.
